Exhibition Overview

Indonesia, a member of ASEAN, is the largest economy in Southeast Asia and the world’s fourth most populous country, supported by strong political stability and market vitality. The Indonesian Pulp and Paper Industry (IPPI), with 113 enterprises, plays a key role in the national economy and has established Indonesia as a major pulp and paper hub in Southeast Asia. In 2024, the country’s pulp production capacity reached 14.43 million tons and paper production capacity 21.31 million tons, with total industry exports valued at USD 8 billion.

With rising global demand for safe, eco-friendly, and biodegradable packaging, paper packaging is increasingly replacing plastic alternatives. In recent years, Indonesia's paper and packaging industry has experienced strong growth in product and technology demand, attracting global attention. To strengthen collaboration between China and Indonesia, the Indonesian Pulp and Paper Association (APKI) and the China National Chemical Information Center (CNCIC) have established the China-Indonesia Paper Industry Deep Cooperation Mechanism to promote the sustainable development of pulp, paper, and eco-friendly paper packaging markets in both countries.

CNIC & BDM Plus

The China National Chemical Information Center (CNCIC) is a national institution specializing in information consulting and integrated marketing services. Established in 1992 through the merger of the Scientific and Technological Information Research Institute of the Ministry of Chemical Industry (founded in 1959) and the Economic Information Center of the Ministry of Chemical Industry (founded in 1984), CNCIC focuses on the development of eco-friendly material industries, including bio-based materials, paper-based materials, pulp, and bamboo pulp. Through collaboration with government authorities, research institutes, industry associations, manufacturers, and end users, CNCIC launched the BDM Green Material & Product Platform (BDM PLUS), which integrates exhibitions, conferences, research, consulting, industry standards, resource matching, and media promotion into a comprehensive one-stop service platform.
